The Windows 7 calculator certainly has alot of new features that could be useful to everyone. The editor behind dailygian managed to make this calculator “portable” so you can have it running on Vista. I’ve tried running it on XP but it wouldn’t run. There are two ways you can have the calculator running on your computer:

1) As a standalone app
2) Replace the old calculator with this new one:
To do this, you need to make a backup of C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe
Then replace it with the new one included in the zip file. You also need to backup C:\Windows\System32\en-US\calc.exe.mui and replace it with the one included in the zip file.

Not only that, but new notepad documents are all loaded in one window, but on separate tabs, much like internet-browsing tabs. You can also change the appearance of Notepad and do a print-preview. Word Wrap seems to be automatically enabled, since it’s a must-have anyway.
Basically all of notepad’s features are included, but displayed in a more-efficient manner. This is a really good notepad replacement - check it out!
